Bottled-Water Purity From Your Kitchen Tap
Sydney's mains water is treated and safe by regulatory standards, but it arrives at your tap containing chloramine, fluoride, trace heavy metals, and in some areas nitrates and PFAS. For households that cook, brew coffee, and drink directly from the tap every day, reverse osmosis is the most comprehensive solution available for residential use.
The Pure Plus+ uses a 50 GPD Asprinn RO membrane to reject up to 98% of dissolved solids at the molecular level, including fluoride (up to 98%), chloramine, lead, copper, arsenic, nitrates, PFAS and microplastics. What passes through the membrane is near-pure water. Stages 1 and 2 pre-treat the feed water to protect the membrane. Stage 4, the alkaline magnesium cartridge, adds magnesium back and raises the pH to 8–9.5. Stage 5 is a final coconut carbon polish that leaves the water with a clean, naturally sweet finish.
The 12-litre storage tank ensures water is always available on demand, no waiting for filtration to complete before you can fill a glass. The dedicated chrome filter tap is installed through your benchtop, and a 3-way mixer tap upgrade is available if you'd prefer one fixture over two.
Jean-Paul installs every Pure Plus+ system personally across Sydney. He's a licensed NSW plumber (Lic. 461511C), not a subcontractor, every installation is done by the same person who answers the phone. Fixed price of $840 covers system, tank, chrome filter tap, all fittings, and licensed installation. No hidden extras.
Filter Stage Breakdown
Five stages work in sequence to deliver near-pure, alkaline remineralised water. Each stage has a specific role, from protecting the membrane to polishing the final output.

5-Micron Polyspun Sediment Filter
Pre-filter, Sediment, Particles, Silt
The first stage is a 5-micron melt-blown polypropylene sediment cartridge that removes physical particles from the feed water, sand, silt, rust, and suspended solids. Its primary job is to protect the carbon pre-filter and RO membrane from clogging, extending their life and maintaining flow performance. Replaced every 6 months.

5-Micron Coconut Carbon Block (CTO)
Pre-filter, Chlorine, VOCs, Taste & Odour
A high-grade activated coconut carbon block that adsorbs free chlorine before the water reaches the RO membrane, chlorine is particularly damaging to the membrane, so this stage protects your most expensive filter. It also captures VOCs, herbicides, pesticides, and the chemical compounds behind off-taste and odour. Replaced every 6 months.

Primary filter, 0.0001 micron, up to 98% reduction
The heart of the system. The Asprinn thin-film composite RO membrane filters down to 0.0001 micron, fine enough to reject the vast majority of dissolved contaminants, fluoride (up to 98%), lead, copper, arsenic, nitrates, PFAS, salts, bacteria and cysts. It produces up to 190 litres of purified water per day; the dissolved solids are flushed to drain. Replaced every 1–4 years depending on your water quality.

Alkaline Magnesium Remineralisation
Post-filter, pH 8–9.5, magnesium added
Straight off the membrane, RO water is mineral-stripped and slightly acidic. This Xstream Alkaline cartridge passes it through pure magnesium oxide mineral media, lifting the pH into a healthy alkaline range (around 9.5 when new, settling near 8 over its life) and adding magnesium back for a smooth, naturally fresh taste rather than flat water. Replaced every 12 months.

Coconut Carbon Final Polish

The final stage is an Xstream Carbon cartridge of 100% granular activated coconut carbon, fitted after the alkaline mineral stage. It gives the water one last polish, stripping any residual tastes and odours and imparting the clean, naturally sweet finish you notice at the tap. Replaced every 12 months.
