Abbotsford sits on a Parramatta River peninsula in the City of Canada Bay, between Abbotsford Bay and Hen and Chicken Bay. Its homes range from established houses on the quieter streets to the medium density Abbotsford Cove complex, built on the site of the old Nestlé chocolate factory.
That mix is why every Abbotsford installation starts with the home itself. An apartment usually starts at the kitchen, with strata approval for any new tap. A house with room at the water service can take filtration for every tap and shower. Jean-Paul checks the space, the plumbing and the access, then confirms your price in writing before anything is booked.
A renovation is the easiest time to plan filtration. With the kitchen open, we can set the filtered tap position before the benchtop goes in, and plan a whole house system at the water service before the garden and paths are finished.
For an Abbotsford house with room at the water service, Pure Home filters the water where it enters the property, so every tap, shower and appliance runs filtered. Its catalytic carbon stage is there for chloramine, the disinfectant that keeps Sydney water safe through the pipes and can be hard on hair and skin in a hot shower. Pure Home Reserve does the same job in a powder coated cabinet finished in your colour.
Whole house filtration ↗
For an Abbotsford Cove apartment, or anyone who wants to keep their kitchen mixer, Pure Flow filters the cold water through the tap you already have. Everything sits inside the cupboard, with no outdoor work, which suits units where the water service is shared with the building.
Under sink filters ↗
For purified drinking and cooking water, reverse osmosis sits under the sink with its own tap. Pure Essential and Pure Plus are the everyday choices, Pure Premium puts hydrogen and minerals back in, and Pure Luxe shows live water quality on its display. A photo of your cupboard tells us whether the tank fits.

Abbotsford is supplied by Sydney Water through the same network as the rest of the city. It is treated with chlorine and chloramine so it stays safe all the way to your tap. Sydney’s water is safe, but it is not pure, and that treatment is what a lot of people taste and smell in a glass. What happens inside your own pipes varies from one Abbotsford home to the next, so we look at your plumbing rather than guess from a postcode.

Your request is with us. We call to confirm your installation date and your price in writing.
Abbotsford Cove brought residential housing to the former chocolate factory site, adding another layer to this riverside suburb. Choosing filtration here starts with your actual home, rather than a guess based on the surrounding buildings. A kitchen system needs usable cupboard space. For whole house coverage, the incoming connection and a suitable mounting position need checking.
Photograph the open sink cabinet and its connections for kitchen filtration. For a house, include the meter and surrounding space. If your home has shared property, tell us which areas need strata permission before we plan the work.
For an Abbotsford apartment, let us know how to reach the unit and whether access to any shared plumbing needs arranging. For a separate house, show us the route to the proposed filter position. These details help us confirm the scope and price before booking.
After connecting your chosen system we test it and explain everyday use. Keep annual care in mind when choosing the position, so cartridge access remains clear. Our maintenance guide explains that ongoing care.
Your installation is handled by Jean-Paul Barbar of Filters For You, NSW plumbing licence 461511C. We serve Abbotsford from Croydon Park, about 6 km away. Share your address and a few plumbing photos when you call 0430 546 749 so we can discuss the right setup.
Pure Flow costs $810 installed. In Abbotsford, the reverse osmosis options begin with Pure Essential at $1,180 followed by Pure Plus at $1,280. Whole house Pure Home starts from $3,850 or Reserve from $5,150. A Deluxe combination starts from $6,290. Supply, installation and GST sit within the quoted price, confirmed after checking your property.
Choose the coverage first, then the model. If drinking and cooking water are your focus, compare Pure Flow with the reverse osmosis range. If showers matter too, ask about whole house or a Deluxe combination. Your cupboard and incoming connection determine what fits. Our guide to choosing a Sydney water filter helps narrow the options.
An Abbotsford Cove residence and a separate house may have very different access to incoming plumbing. Send photos before deciding on whole house coverage. A kitchen unit is another option where filtration is wanted at the sink, with suitability checked against your cabinet and tap arrangement.
We need to see more than the cupboard doors. Show the inside, waste pipe, water connections and tap above the bench. This lets us assess space for the selected unit and any required tank. Include strata or landlord requirements if they apply to your Abbotsford home.
Use a licensed plumber for the water connection. Jean-Paul Barbar’s NSW licence is 461511C. He checks the proposed arrangement and tests the completed installation, so the filter is considered as part of your plumbing rather than just placed in a cupboard.
Appointment options are confirmed after we review the Abbotsford address, access and proposed system. Tell us your preferred timing in the enquiry form. If you have not chosen a model, explain which taps you want covered and we can work from there.
Sydney’s water is safe, but it is not pure. Filtration is a choice about the water you use at home, including taste and smell, without making assumptions about the supply from an Abbotsford postcode. Read our explanation of Sydney tap water safety for the distinction.
Whole house equipment treats water before it reaches connected household outlets. Reverse osmosis is a separate kitchen treatment for drinking and cooking. Choosing one does not give you the other. Deluxe Home packages provide both types of coverage in one installation plan.
Annual servicing with Filters For You maintains lifetime cover for the sealed system and covered labour. Separate conditions apply to valves and wear parts. Read the full lifetime warranty terms when comparing models, so the ongoing care requirement is clear from the start.
