Forest Lodge receives treated drinking water from Sydney Water. Chlorine and chloramine help protect water during distribution and may affect its taste or smell at home. Sydney water is safe, but not pure. A filter can match drinking preferences and the household outlets you want covered. Victorian houses and later apartment conversions have individual plumbing histories, so an exterior’s age alone does not establish the pipe materials or water condition inside a property.

The useful starting point is a clear view of your own sink cupboard and connections. Include shelves, the waste pipe and the space beside them in the photo. For a converted or shared building, tell us which home the water connection serves. Any conditions on alterations should be raised with the relevant owner or building representative before a fitting position is settled.
For a converted Forest Lodge house, explain the route into your home and any shared areas involved in access.
